We are a Hertfordshire County Council Maintained Nursery School registered for children aged 2-5 years old.
Ludwick is just over 70 years old and has been on its current site since 1986. We have extensive purpose built buildings and rich provision, set in lovely grounds, with plentiful access to outside learning. We offer a range of services and work closely with other providers to ensure that our children gain the best support possible during their time with us at the school.
We have an onsite Family Centre led by OneYMCA.
We are very proud of our four consecutive ‘outstanding’ Ofsted inspections which recognise our commitment to providing high quality early education. At Ludwick we strive to provide a happy, stimulating environment for children to learn in. We believe children learn best through play and first-hand experiences and we aim to provide the children with many rich, learning opportunities. We see Ludwick as a community and we work in close partnership with families, to ensure everyone feels welcomed and valued.
We are able to take fee-paying and funded children from the term after their 2nd birthday. We offer part time and full time places, please contact the school office for further information and costs.
Applications can be made at anytime throughout the year.
Ludwick Nursery School has a dedicated two year old group called Tree Tops, which offers free places for eligible 2 year olds . Please contact us or check www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/parents to find out if you are eligible.
