Headteacher’s Welcome

Dear Parents, Carers and Children,

A very warm welcome to Ludwick Nursery School.

I am very proud to be the Head teacher of this inspirational outstanding Nursery School. I have been in the education sector for over 30 years and have extensive teaching experience working across all phases of primary education. My true passion is early years teaching; prior to joining Ludwick Nursery School in 2019, I was the Head teacher for 5 years at another outstanding Nursery School in Hertfordshire.

At Ludwick Nursery School we are proud of the very special sense of community that exists between us, our families and all those that we work in partnership with, this was noted at our last Ofsted inspection  ‘Ludwick is a very harmonious community’ Ofsted 2017.

We offer outstanding education for children aged two- five years old. We have extensive purpose built buildings and rich provision, set in lovely grounds, with plentiful access to outside learning.

The children’s education and well-being is at the heart of everything that we do. Our school has earned a strong reputation over the years for providing children with the best possible start to their education. Starting nursery school is a very exciting and important event for every young child and their family and we are proud of our partnership work with parents to ensure that our children experience a happy and positive start to school life. We believe that all children are skilled learners, who are curious about the world around them. When they come to nursery they have already had many important and valuable experiences.

Our four key values of Respect, Trust, Courage and Kindness ensure that everyone in the Ludwick community – children, parents and carers, staff and governors, help to create a happy, safe and thriving nursery where everyone feels valued.

I very much look forward to meeting you and working alongside you as parents, thank you for choosing us to be part of your children’s education.

Helen Ackerman
