Who is the course for?
If you are interested in running Forest School activities in your home/playground/garden/school field with children or support Forest School within your setting.
All 3 days must be completed to obtain a Foundation Forest School Skills Certificate. Each day will run 9:00-16:30. The cost per person is £375.00 which is payable upon booking.
What will I study?
The course is run over 3 days with the mornings spent in the classroom and the afternoons outside doing practical activities including basic tool use (no fire activities).
The course will cover the following units:
- Ethos of Forest School
- Health and Safety outdoors and good Forest School Practices
- Schemas
- Self Esteem
- Effective planning
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed over the 3 days through your knowledge, understanding and through completion of a diary and lesson plan book and participation in outdoor activities. Upon successful completion you will receive a Foundation Forest School Skills Certificate.
